Our Editorial Mission
WeCult News publishes daily entertainment news covering film, TV, games, and books. Our goal is fast, accurate, and fan-first coverage — not sponsored content, not clickbait, not aggregated noise.
AI Disclosure
WeCult News uses artificial intelligence throughout its content pipeline. We believe in full transparency about how this works:
- Source monitoring — An automated pipeline monitors 20+ established entertainment outlets (IGN, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, The Verge, GameSpot, and others) and selects newsworthy stories based on timeliness and relevance signals.
- AI writing — Each article is written by a large language model (Google Gemini) using the source story as a factual foundation. The model expands the story into a structured editorial article with context, analysis, and clearly labeled sections.
- AI translation — Turkish and Spanish versions are produced by Llama 3.3 (via Groq) with Gemini as a fallback. Translations are not human-reviewed.
- No hallucinated sources — The pipeline enforces a hard rule: no fabricated quotes, no invented statistics, no unnamed sources. All factual claims trace back to the original source article.
- Byline — All AI-generated articles are published under the WeCult Editorial byline to clearly indicate the AI-assisted process.
Quality Standards
Every article published by WeCult News must pass the following automated checks before publication:
- Minimum 600 words of editorial content
- Structured sections (lead, context, analysis, community angle)
- No truncated sentences or incomplete paragraphs
- Direct link to the original source publication
- Relevant category tag (Film, TV, Games, or Books)
- A cover image from a trusted source
Source Policy
WeCult News does not republish press releases verbatim or run sponsored editorial content. Every article is based on news reported by an established publication. A source bar at the bottom of each article links directly to the original report so readers can verify information independently.
We do not accept paid placements, sponsored articles, or affiliate-driven editorial coverage.
Accuracy & Corrections
Despite automated quality controls, errors can occur — especially in AI-generated content. If you find a factual error in an article, please contact us with the article URL and the specific claim in question. We will review and issue a correction promptly.
Corrected articles are updated in place with a correction notice at the top of the article body.
Independence
WeCult News is the editorial arm of WeCult, an entertainment platform. Editorial coverage is independent of WeCult's commercial interests — we do not give preferential coverage to WeCult's partners or sponsors.
Accessibility
All content on WeCult News is free to read. No paywalls, no registration required. Content is available in English, Turkish, and Spanish.
